Conclusion is the beginning of another bloom 總結，是另一個盛放的開始 The i-Herbal Garden planting activity started in November of last year. The students were experiencing the culture of Chinese Medicine, also setting foot on turning mud and soil. The students established an unexpected feeling through the process of maintenance and observation in this small garden. Due to the pandemic, the face-to-face classes did not resume until late April. Of course, the impact of the period was unavoidable. Fortunately, the foundation was good when it was first cultivated. Most of the plants were vitality flourishing. And the conclusion stage is approaching, the students will enjoy double achievements. They are not only gained the experience of learning. Meanwhile, their result will be able to share with the public. We’re collecting reports from participating schools and arranging VR filming teams to film medicine gardens at the same. The production of the virtual tour of Chinese medicine gardens in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan also in progress. Create Consummation. 中醫藥繪本文化同樂日，創造接觸，創造圓滿 On August 13, 2022, “Chinese Medicine Culture Picture Book Fun Day” held at the Zero Carbon Building ended successfully with lively and cheerful. We inject new energy into Chinese Medicine Culture. Knowledge and wisdom are infiltrated through the interaction. Our “Fun Day” have multiple programme such as theatre, concert, new story, doctor sharing, rare herbs. School children and parents can receive information in distinct form of contact. They went home with full after spending a meaningful and pleasant afternoon. On that day, practitioner from CMA explained the way of health. And she demonstrated different treatment methods in the cooperation of children which aroused laughter in the room. We created The Shadow Play with the content of picture book. The invited shadow puppet master Wong Fai and his team, used the traditional arts of intangible cultural heritage bring out the healthy Traditional Medicine Culture life concept. Everyone felt refreshed and applauded. The children connect body rhythms and percussion instruments under Orff Approach. From solo to ensemble, turning the praise of Chinese medicine culture into catchy chants, which firm in their hearts. In addition, the parents used their whole body to tell the stories which gave a sincere performance. That’s an unforgettable kind whispers to the children. There’s a small displays area, 12 kinds of “Twelve Best of Traditional Chinese Medicine” plants are carefully prepared by practitioner and gardener. Among them there’s one, the children covered their mouths and noses immediately when unsealed. It’s “Ferula foetida”, the most stinky Chinese medicine; Everyone immediately retreated caused a funny scene as they saw “Antiaris toxicaria”, the most poisonous Chinese medicine on the shelves. The ceremony for the short film competition of Cultural Storytelling also held on the same day. The short films has been uploaded to our Facebook. We are welcome your revisiting. This is not the last song. We are one step at a time to promote of children's education of traditional Chinese medicine culture. We make unremitting efforts. Hi Class! This is Rainie Meeting You Again! 同學們！小紅雨又跟大家見面啦！ This special school year is especially in the rush. Our classes and exams were going in fast-pacing after Easter holidays. Everyone can finally catch breathe in July. The school visits of the Chinese Medicine Cultural Education Picture Book Project started a tight itinerary in this free time. Our TCM practitioners brought a new series of picture books “The Secret of Chinese Medicine” and “Good Memory of Chinese Medicine Culture” to the school. With the cooperation of the instructors, we used a board games to introduce Rainie’s life learning journey. Through the simple guidance of the practitioners, the concept of TCM treatment and importance of meridians are turned into life fragments that integrated with nature. The students coupled with the enthusiastic questions and responses. Everyone has fun study and spend time happily in a room of surprises and noise. Learning like this is fulfilling, joyful and inspiring. This small seed of Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture hopefully will germinate, grow and thrive in the hearts of the students. Learning Journey of Brainstorming, Hands-on and Turning Soil 動腦、動手、動土的學習之旅 In the beginning of November, our three divisions joined forces. Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Chinese pharmacist and gardener joined us to visit the schools participating in the “iHerbal Garden (2021/2022)” project. In the first two lessons, not only the culture, knowledge, planting techniques and visual design of Chinese medicine are introduced. And the students can also experience the fun of turning soil and planting. Chinese Medicine Practitioner vividly explained the interaction between balance and health, guiding students to understand the concept of “Medicine and food homology”; Pharmacist brought the original medicinal materials such as antlers and geckos, led students to discover the uniqueness of Chinese medicinal materials. The gardener, together with the fully equipped classmates, planted 15 kinds of Chinese herbal plants, including Perilla, Mugwort, Mulberry, and Murraya to build a “Beauty” garden. The class has just started. Students are looking forward to each planting day and learning opportunity in the future.
